Misreporting or concealing the VGM will be collected liquidated damages

Peak Shipping Line (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. has always been committed to making continuous improvements to protect the crew, ships and cargo.

We hereby inform you that from the date of this notice, the basic obligations and responsibilities under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) "International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea" and "Ship Safety Supervision Regulations of the People's Republic of China". For misreporting or concealing the weight of the container, our company will collect liquidated damages from the shipper or consignee worldwide.

If the difference between the actual weight of the container and the VGM weight is more than 5% or 1 ton (whichever is less), the liquidated damages will be USD5000/container; if the actual weight exceeds the maximum operating mass of the container, the liquidated damages will be USD10000/container. "Misreporting or concealing" in this notice includes, but is not limited to, erroneous declarations, late declarations, late changes or omissions.

In addition, the shipper or consignee will also be responsible for all subsequent remedial measures, lawsuits, penalties, obligations, losses, delays, cargo damage and other expenses arising from misreporting and concealment.

Please note that misreporting VGM will constitute a breach of contract and violate applicable laws, endangering lives and adversely affecting the normal operation of the entire supply chain. Therefore, we require customers to declare the VGM correctly. Thank you for your support and cooperation in maintaining our supply chain security.
